How to use it

  1. Plug in and choose low

    Start on the lowest heat setting.

  2. Place over clothing

    Lay the pad on the area with a thin cloth or clothing between pad and skin.

  3. Relax for 15–20 minutes

    Turn the heat up only if you need to.

  4. Switch off

    Turn it off (or let the auto-off do it) and unplug.

  5. Store flat or loosely rolled

    Do not fold it tightly or sit on it.

Use it safely: start on the lowest setting and use it for about 15–20 minutes at a time. Never sleep with a heating pad switched on (use the auto-off if it has one), never sit or lie on top of it, and always keep a layer of cloth between the pad and your skin. Do not use it on numb skin, open wounds or swelling, and stop if the skin turns red or sore. If you have diabetes, poor circulation, are pregnant, or the pain lasts or is unexplained, ask your doctor first. Unplug it when not in use and check the cable for damage.

Dry heat warms through the fabric; moist heat (with a damp sponge or cloth, on pads that allow it) feels deeper to many people. Follow your pad's manual.
