Most heating pads give dry heat — warmth that passes through the fabric. Some pads also allow moist heat: you add a damp sponge or cloth insert, and the warmth feels deeper and more soothing to many people.

Using moist heat safely
- Only use moisture with a pad made for it, following its manual exactly.
- Use the supplied sponge or insert — wring it out so it is damp, not wet.
- Never pour water on an electric pad.
- Moist heat can feel hotter: start on low and keep sessions to 15–20 minutes.
