Electric heating pads

1. Plug and socket: try another socket; check the extension board switch.
2. Controller connection: many pads have a plug-in connector between the controller and pad — push it in firmly.
3. Auto shut-off: after it switches off, you may need to turn it off and on again.
4. Give it time: some pads take a few minutes to warm up.
5. Low voltage: during low voltage, pads may feel less warm.

Electric heat pouches

• Charge on a flat surface until the light goes off; a pouch charged on a bed or at an angle may not heat evenly.
• If it swells, leaks or the light stays on — stop using it.

USB belts and wraps

• Charge fully with a proper 5 V adapter; some laptop ports are too weak.
• Long-press the power button — most need 2–3 seconds.

Stop using it if

• You smell burning, see scorch marks or damaged wires.
• It heats only in one spot, or the controller gets hot.
